We are owners of a holiday home in Emba which we stay in 4 times a year or so.
We are being charged 50Euro a quarter for our bank maintenance charges by Alpha bank because they have labelled us as international business account holders. This is too high an amount to pay for an account just to pay our bills by DD. Can anyone advise of cheaper bank charges or does anyone have experience of using JCC to pay bills online? I have protested to Alpha that we are Irish and therefore EU citizens yet they insist on us being labelled as international clients and thus entails also having a sterling account, which we never make use of. They have offered to close the sterling account but offer us no saving in bank fees if they do close it. I understand that locals pay about 7Euro a quarter for current account bank fees, but Alpha refuse to allow us this type of account.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

MPV Rentals Ltd is a small UK company run by a group of apartment owners in Mazotos Panoramic Village (MPV) near Larnaca in Cyprus. We manage holiday rentals at MPV for approximately 15 apartments throughout the year.
We are looking for an On-Site Rentals Manager whose role is to manage all rental bookings at MPV; provide support to guests during their stay and provide quality control management for a range of contractors carrying out cleaning and maintenance work on-site.
This is a challenging and rewarding job that offers the successful candidate the chance of growing and shaping the role and taking on more responsibilities as the business grows.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
· Manage all rental bookings at MPV using the Little Hotelier booking system
· Supervise the quality of the preparation and cleaning of the apartments at MPV for all rental guests
· Provide a single point of contact for all rental guests, including “meeting and greeting” guests; handing over apartment keys and providing any additional support to guests when needed
· Supervise contractors working at MPV to ensure quality control management of these activities
· Manage the site so that it is a safe, clean environment for all rental guests
Candidate Skills
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, hard-working, organised, and preferably have a working knowledge of the use of computers in hotel front desk operations and possibly property maintenance. In addition, the candidate will be expected to have strong customer facing skills and be capable of working independently and as a member of a team. Given the nature of holiday rentals, it is expected that the candidate will be prepared to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the holiday guests. A knowledge of both Greek, English and possibly Russian, would be an advantage.
Benefits
This position is a contract post, initially for a period of 12 months. The successful candidate will be paid a 10% commission on all fulfilled bookings during the year and will be provided with rent free accommodation on site.
