New to Famagusta

Hi, 

I've recently returned to Cyprus but to the Famagusta region.  I previously lived in Paphos for 3 years, I would like to ask if any expats live in or know the area, as this side of the island is new to me.  

I will specifically be staying for a while in the Derynia (republic) region.  I will be locating there in the next few days.

I love walking and exploring but have to rely on transport/buses, I also enjoy the café culture and meeting people.  In addition, I'm a keen amateur photographer and writer. 

I look forward to hearing from anyone who has some advice and maybe making a few friends.

Thank you so much.  I don't arrive in Deryneia (Republic) until Thursday.  But yes, it would be lovely to keep in touch.  

It does sound nice, so am keeping an open mind.
