Live in Cyprus some time a year and have some tips - 0 replies

Hi!

I'm new to this forum but I'm an experienced traveler to Cyprus. I've always been an independent traveler.

Logged in here to find new travel buddies! Or may be drop some knowledge.

Travel expenses depend on what activities you take part in but on average it's about € 80-100 per day (yeah, the currency is the euro)

VAT and local taxes are included. If you are non-EU resident check VAT refunds on some goods.

Southern Cyprus is a wonderful location to travel: weather, safety, attractions. If you are not limited in money look through villas on the shore. As for me, it is more comfortable than hotels. There're some variants from about € 50 per night. https://www.cyprusvillas.com/2-bedroom.html If you travel with a big company of relatives or friends you may share expenses.

Car rental is also cheaper than taxy.

Also I like this topic and find it really useful https://www.talkcyprusforum.com/articles/1/living-in-cyprus-useful-tips-advice-0/

Nice to meet new friends!

Recommendation for high quality Carer/Nurse - 0 replies

Denis46 Posted by Denis46 in Healthcare and medical advice in Pissouri on Tue Jul 12, 2022 10:22pm

I came across an amazing Care provider and would like to share his details, so you can contact him if you or your relative is recovering from an operation or needs proper professional care when incapacitated or just is of an old age which requires some extra help.

My husband suffered a heart attack and needed an urgent open heart operation.  After such a difficult operation he needed  a lot of care to ensure his healing process is going into the right direction. I was extremely impressed with the quality of one particular carer/nurse at the hospital, Spiros,  he made sure my husband was clean at all times, properly moved to avoid bedsores, fed from a spoon,  special creams applied to keep the skin moist, etc etc. He was taking him to sit in a chair and for a walk, and  ensured my husband was comfortable at all times. His cheerful attitude gave my husband  positivity he needed  for his recovery. After discharge from the hospital, my husband needed a lot of further care at home and this carer fortunately  provides private services which he could deliver even in Pissouri ( he is based in Limassol) and visits patients up to  Paphos. His phone number is 99-681835. He speaks good English. I would highly recommend him  to anyone who is in need of such services.

Can anyone recommend: Insurance Claim - 0 replies

Mark1111 Posted by Mark1111 in Recommended Tradesmen and Companies in Pissouri on Wed Jun 1, 2022 5:44pm

Hi, my parents house in Pissouri Bay, is showing signs of movement around the swimming pool and patio area. Our insurance company says that we are not covered following the recent earthquake or that it may be down to poor workmanship when the house was built 18 years ago. Has anyone experienced the same problems or could advise me of another route to follow for independant advise? Many thanks MARK
