Unsettled May

Hi everybody me and my wife came to peyia last two weeks in May,we usually come out Aug/Sept but tried May this year for the cooler nights, unfortunately the weather was very unsettled for the first week and we just wanted to know if that was unusual for late May! We are asking so we can book for next year. Thank you all
