Health care post brexit

Good morning we are both retired and are considering moving to Cyprus we meet all the requirements to get a yearly visa but are little confused as one of the requirements says we need to have private health insurance .I know that the state health scheme in Cyprus has changed and is only part funded by the government .as we are both retired would any one know if we would be able to join this scheme if we obtain a S1 form any help would be appreciated
