Retiring to Cyprus

Hi All,

I'm looking for some info please. Myself and my partner are hoping to retire soon and spend approx. 9 months of the year in Cyprus. We already own a property in Paphos. Unfortunately, my partner has a criminal record and I was wondering if this would prevent us from applying for temporary residency to allow us to spend more than 3 months per year living in Cyprus?

Any advice would be gratefully received.
