Hello everyone - my husband and I are planning to relocate to the Paphos area shortly having sold our UK property.  However it appears there may be a fly in the ointment with regard to communal pools being closed due to not having the necessary licence to operate.  This seems to be a long-standing problem with the outdated 1992 Pool Law whereby pools on complexes (even the small ones) need to employ a lifeguard during pool operating hours, which is obviously a costly requirement.  Does anyone know if there are plans to repeal this law and implement the EU standards defining complex pools as Type 3 with no lifeguard required (which Cyprus should have put in place by 2009)?  I am aware there is a petition which has been going from 2018 (Petition) but as yet doesn't have the required 8,000 signatures (currently standing at 6,590) and has been published in the local press recently which has given the petition a bit of a boost.  We wanted an apartment on a complex as we thought this would be a better option for us - but perhaps it may not be now :(  Thank you
