Hi all,

I am new to this forum and I am considering buying a property in either Paralimni or Kapparis.  Does anybody have any advice on these areas e.g. are the amenities open all year round or any other advantages of either area.

I would appreciate any comments on both areas.

Thanks in advance.

Kevin

We live in Kapparis and it stays open all year round unlike Protaris and Aya Napa.

I would go to Blue Surf property agency and ask for Trish.

They know the area really well extremely helpful and supportive.

We found our perfect home through them.

Kind Regards

Hi all

We have long thought about retiring to Cyprus. We are about 3 years from being in a position to do so. Paralimni seems to have property in our price bracket. Is there a reason prices appear lower in that area please? Is it a good area for a couple from the uk?

Thanks in anticipation

Simon

The fastest growing area if Kapparis open all year. Prices are rapidly rising however it all depends on your budget and requirements. Been here coming up 3 years with no regrets. If I can be of help let me know.

Hi,

I have recently made a couple of trips recently to view options as I retired last year.

Initially, in December I looked around the Paphos area, particularly Peyia, Kissonerga, Polis, as well as Paphos itself.  I decided against Paphos itself as I thought somewhere quieter may be preferable.  I liked some of the areas although it was more hilly, which I thought may get more difficult as I get older.

In March, I had another look around Paphos, as well as Larnaca, Paralimni and Kapparis. There appears to be a lot of development around Larnaca but I decided it wasn't for me.

Kapparis and Paralimni appeared to have  sufficient local amenities, which I understand are open all year round.  I understand Protaras is more seasonal.  The area seemed a lot flater than Paphos.  So I decided on Kapparis and have started the process of buying a new build apartment which hopefully will be finished later this year.  The property prices seem lower than Paphos.  The only negative that I am envisaging is that it seems a bit more difficult to get to/from, as Larnaca is the closest airport but the flights appear less frequent from the north, particularly in winter.

I dealt with Gabriela from Island Homes and would recommend them.  They were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area.  Gabriela showed me the area in addition to viewing properties which helped me conclude that it was the area that I wished to spend more time in.

Only my personal observations but hopefully it helps.
