Hi there.

There are few internet providers in Cyprus as far as I can tell. This firm provides a good service but not cheap. When I am over in Cyprus next time I will be searching for someone a bit more competitive. I got a 40 meg sysem which actually delivers about 19 -21 meg in Argaka. The English TV channels over broadband uses 20 meg. so sometimes the signal is not consistent. Go for 70 meg or above if TV is important to you. Also recommend a Cyprus pay as you go phone number pre-loaded with 20 euros of credit ( I've had it for ages and its still in credit ) This is important as most firms only deal with customers having a Cyprus number.  The card fits inside most mobiles.  CYTA.com  They have shops in Paphos.   www.cyta.com.cy

Good luck

Kind regards

Chris in Argaka

Thanks Chris for your good tips. I also found out that Cablenet have fiber optics installed in Tala and they provide 200/30 M. It may provide an answer to your rate problems.

I have not installed it yet (need to wait 14 working days, But once I'll try it, I will let you know how good it is.

Thanks

Avi

Hello Rima

Sorry, I have not tried either yet.

All I can say is that, CYTA is very disappointing in Argaka area. I am paying for 50mb broadband but averaging 19-26  mb.  The TV picture  freezes  a few times a day, for a few seconds, because it needs a steady 20mb minimum to maintain a good signal.

I will probably give Bluenet a try next,  as there is no contract and they appear to be offering pay as you go.

Its trial and errror at the moment I'm afraid.

Good luck.
