We bought our house in Alethrico 23 years ago as a holiday home. My husband and I decided to retire in Cyprus and moved here permanently, 9 months ago. Since moving here we are constantly kept awake by dogs kept in cages 50 yards from our house. it is becoming unbearable and although we have complained to the village mouxtari nothing has been done.
Does anyone else have this problem that could maybe advise us what to do
The Animal Party - care about all aspects of animal welfare. You will find them online and I'm sure they will know the law and give you advice on what action to take. The Animal Party managed to get an "animal officer" nominated at every police station and I believe our nearest station is in Kofinou. Hope this helps. I live down by the school and dog barking is a problem here too.

I think we all have problems with other peoples dogs.
I don't believe the police will do much but we can only try.
